The Classic Shooter gamemode has a large variation of weapons that can be used by the player and are exclusive to certain units. This page will help explain the different types of weapons found in the Classic Shooter.
Pellets: The Pellet is a common attack that is available to most units. It deals a small amount of damage upon hit but can be shot very quickly and has unlimited ammo.
Missiles: Missiles are yet another common attack that is available to most units like the Pellets. Basic units like the Cruiser have both Pellets and Missiles in their arsenal. The Missile is a homing attack that follows it's targeted enemy until it either collides with an obstacle, hits it's targets or runs out of fuel. The missile can be used to counter other enemy missiles and can cause friendly fire. If there are a large group of enemies, go close to them so they can use their missiles and destroy each other.
Mine: This is a player exclusive weapon. When the player presses V, a small green mine will be placed beneath their feet. It will explode when an enemy triggers it with explosives, contact or over time. The player has 10 of these at the beggining. In the robot section, the mines self destruct after a while as you can hear the 'beep'.
Mortar: The Mortar is a weapon that only two units have access to; the player and the mortar. The player has 5 mortars which can be shot when you press the C key. It deals a large amount of damage in an AoE damage style. It resembles a big black bubble that grows bigger as it goes higher but then grows smaller as it hits the ground. It is so powerful in fact, that it can destroy a large hoard of Cruisers within two shots. Although the ammo is scarce, it can easily be replaced by powerups and is a force to be reckoned with. It also causes friendly fire if fired on allies. This rule also applies to the Mortar.
Heavy Pellet: The heavy pellet is a more powerful pellet that is uncommon among light units like the player ship, wingmen and Cruisers. It is however used by the Centipede, Electropede, Heavy Cruiser and Heavy Ally. It has slightly slower velocity than the Pellet and is fired much more briefly although it deals more than three times the damage of the normal Pellet.
Laser: The Laser is a player exclusive weapon. When the key X is pressed and held, a long purple lazer will be fired continuously vertically in a short range. It is good for dealing with hordes of enemies and deals much more damage than the pellet although it has short range and deals less damage than the Mega Missile and Heavy Pellet.
Disruptor Energy Projectile: This is an enemy exclusive weapon that can only be fired by Disruptor turrets. It has a purple helix shape that has high velocity but can easily be dodged. Upon hit, it will immobilize the target for 3-6 seconds and damage the enemy 4x that of the Pellet. It can't be dodged at close range and once you are hit with one, you become a stationary target for a few seconds. It only has a small range, once it travels outside of the range, it dissolves.
Mega Missile: The Mega Missile is by far an extremely powerful weapon that is not player exclusive although a few enemies can use it. It is not accessable by the player unless a powerup is collected. It dramatically improves the damage dealt although the ammo is rare. The only units that can fire these are the player ship, Wingmen, Heavy allies (Upon powerup) and by default, the Electropede and the Centipede.
Multi-gun: The multi gun is a weapon that is only available on the robot mode of the classic shooter and can be fired by the player, ally robots, enemy scouts and guards. It serves as a replacement for the pellet but is actually more powerful since the guns have a high DPS and the bullets deal slightly more damage than a single pellet and it auto targets enemies.
Hand Grenade: The hand grenade is a weapon that is only available on the robot mode of the classic shooter and can be used by the same units as the multi gun. It acts as a replacement for the mortar and has the same ammo but is much more powerful, able to destroy most units within one hit.
The Saw: The saw is a weapon that is only available on the robot mode of the classic shooter and can be used by the same units as the hand grenade and multi gun. It acts as a replacement for the laser except other units can use it. It is more powerful but has a significantly shorter range than the laser.
Bomb: The bomb is an enemy exclusive weapon that can only be dropped and used by the KOPTR. It has a high damage amount and a large AoE. It destroyed both allies and enemies.
Acidic Spore: The acidic spore is an enemy exclusive weapon that can only be used by the bug king. It acts like a mortar, with lesser damage but a larger AoE and acidic damage. It leaves a few spots of acid near to where it landed which slows and damages all and any units within the vicinity for a few seconds.
